Q+A With dr. Sherry
Women need to take care of their lady parts, aka the vulva and vagina, with the same attention and care as they give their face. Between urine, sweat and bacterial buildup, proper cleansing helps to reduce irritation, dryness, infections, breakouts, itching and offensive odors.
Balance in life, and the pH balance of your lady parts, go hand-in-hand. The vagina is normally acidic, which protects it from infection, inflammation and premature aging. A pH between 3.8 and 4.5 is the ideal environment for the vulva and vagina. This is the healthy range for the many protective organisms, which all live happily together in the vagina. Anything that disrupts this delicate balance could lead to vaginal misery such as an infection, dryness, itching or burning. URJA Intimates has been specifically formulated within the proper pH range.
I have been recommending extra virgin coconut oil to my patients for years to keep the vulva and vagina hydrated and moisturized. EVCO, along with hyaluronic acid, passion flower, CBD, and URJA’s adaptogenic blend, are ideal for feminine hygiene and self-care of our lady parts.
My most compelling conversations happen with a woman’s legs in stirrups! The collaboration to create URJA Intimates was no different. My patient, Molly Argue, and her skincare guru Aunt, Liz Bishop, recently launched a clean-clinical, holistic skincare line with all the important principles I look for in healthy, safe and effective feminine wellness. Our fiercely committed philosophies to clean natural ingredients, based in science, plus free of so many known “nasties,” perfectly aligned and URJA Intimates by Dr. Sherry was born.
